Services & Pricing
Transparent packages, flexible scope.
Most Philadelphia birth doulas keep pricing behind a contact form. I don't. Here is everything I offer, what it costs, and what is included.
Most families book this package between 20 and 32 weeks. It includes two prenatal visits, a birth plan workshop, unlimited text support, on-call coverage from 38 weeks, continuous in-person labor support at your chosen Philadelphia hospital or planned home birth, and one postpartum follow-up.
What's included
- Two 90-minute prenatal visits (in-home or virtual)
- Birth-plan workshop tailored to your provider & hospital
- Unlimited text + email support from booking through 2 weeks postpartum
- On-call coverage from 38 weeks (24/7 phone access)
- Continuous in-person labor support — no hour limit
- 60-minute postpartum visit within 10 days of birth
- Resource referrals (lactation, pelvic PT, perinatal therapy)
- Backup doula coverage if I am unavailable
Best for
First-time parents, anyone planning an unmedicated birth, families wanting evidence-based labor support, partners who want to be active but not solo.
Postpartum doula care meets you where you are after baby arrives: helping with newborn coaching, light meal prep, older sibling integration, baby-care confidence, and giving you uninterrupted sleep. Available days, overnights, and weekends.
What's included
- Newborn care coaching (sleep, feeding rhythms, soothing)
- Light meal preparation focused on postpartum nourishment
- Older sibling and pet integration support
- Light housekeeping in baby and parent spaces
- Lactation support folded into every visit (CLC credentialed)
- Emotional check-ins and PMAD screening
- Errands within a 5-mile radius
- Overnight care (10 PM – 6 AM) available
Best for
Families without nearby relatives, parents recovering from cesarean or difficult births, multiples (twins / triplets), parents returning to work soon, NICU graduates.
Whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, combo feeding, exclusively pumping, or formula feeding — feeding the baby is the goal. I offer in-home and virtual lactation visits across Philadelphia and refer to local IBCLCs when a higher level of care is needed.
What's included
- In-home or virtual 90-minute visit
- Latch and positioning assessment
- Supply concerns and pumping plans
- Return-to-work pumping setup
- Bottle introduction and combo feeding plans
- Pump-flange sizing and pump troubleshooting
- Written care plan after each visit
- Referral to local IBCLC if clinical care needed
Best for
Parents in the first six weeks postpartum, anyone returning to work and adding pumping, weaning support, families navigating tongue/lip-tie evaluations.
Hospital childbirth classes are good. Private classes are better — because we cover what your hospital wants you to know, plus what they leave out, in the way that fits your learning style and your actual birth plan.
What's included
- Three 2-hour sessions (in-home or virtual)
- Anatomy and physiology of labor
- Stages of labor and what to expect at each
- Comfort measures, positions, and counter-pressure techniques (partner-focused)
- Pain medication options — pros, cons, and how to ask for them
- Cesarean preparation (even if you are not planning one)
- Newborn procedures, choices, and informed consent scripts
- Birth-plan template and provider-specific guidance
Best for
First-time parents, anyone who wants more depth than a 4-hour hospital class, families planning unmedicated birth, partners who learn better one-on-one.
A VBAC is medically and emotionally different from a first labor. This package adds extra prenatal time, ICAN connection, processing space for your prior birth, and provider-advocacy preparation specific to Philadelphia hospitals.
What's included
- Everything in the Birth Doula package
- Three prenatal visits (vs. two) for processing prior birth
- Provider-vetting consultation to find VBAC-supportive OBs and midwives
- ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) Philadelphia connection
- Cesarean-history review and physical recovery considerations
- Hospital-specific VBAC policy briefing
- Cesarean processing session (if outcome is repeat cesarean)
Best for
Families planning VBAC, anyone working through a prior cesarean, families switching providers mid-pregnancy.
Add-ons
A few small extras families often add on.
Bengkung Belly Binding
Traditional Malaysian postpartum belly-binding session — promotes core healing and provides physical containment in the weeks after birth.
Placenta Encapsulation Referral
I refer to a trusted, IPPA-certified Philadelphia encapsulator. I do not perform encapsulation myself, but I can coordinate logistics with the hospital and the specialist.
Postpartum Meal Train Setup
I'll organize a 4-week meal-train rotation with your friends and family, including dietary restrictions, drop-off coordination, and recipe suggestions.
Birth Story Processing Session
A 90-minute session 6–12 weeks postpartum to revisit your birth story, name what was hard, and integrate the experience. Can be added to any package.
Service area
In-person across Philadelphia + a 25-mile radius.
For births and postpartum visits, I travel without a fee within Philadelphia and a 25-mile radius. That covers most of Philadelphia County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, and parts of South Jersey.
For families slightly outside that radius (Bucks County, Chester County, Cherry Hill, NJ): a small travel fee may apply. Send me your zip code and I'll quote it precisely.

FAQ
Service & pricing FAQ
Do you offer sliding-scale or BIPOC-priority spots?
Yes. Two sliding-scale spots open each quarter, prioritized for BIPOC families, LGBTQ+ families, and folks with household income under 200% of the federal poverty line. Reach out by email even if you are not sure you qualify — there are no rigid documentation requirements.
What happens if you are not available when I go into labor?
I have a small, vetted network of three Philadelphia-area backup doulas I trust. If I am attending another birth, sick, or otherwise unavailable, a backup steps in. Backups attend your final prenatal so they are not a stranger if they are called. You will not labor alone.
Will insurance cover doula support?
In Pennsylvania, doula coverage is expanding. Medicaid now covers doula services for eligible recipients. Some private plans reimburse partially with an itemized superbill, which I provide. HSA and FSA funds can be used for doula services. I do not bill insurance directly — payment is collected from the client.
Can I customize a package?
Absolutely. Most clients end up somewhere between the standard packages. We will design a scope and price that fits during the meet & greet — there is no expectation to choose from the menu as-is.
Do you work with high-risk pregnancies?
Yes, and frequently. Doulas do not replace your medical team — we add an extra layer of support. I have supported clients through gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, IUGR, induction-required pregnancies, and previous traumatic births. The more complex the medical picture, the more useful continuous emotional support tends to be.
What if I want a home birth?
I love home birth work. I collaborate regularly with Philadelphia-area midwifery practices including Lifecycle WomanCare, Whole Birth, and others. Home births are billed the same as hospital births in my pricing.
No pressure, no sales pitch
Not sure which package is right?
That's exactly what the meet & greet is for. We'll talk through your situation and I'll recommend something honest — even if it is less than what is listed.
